Radio Show Contest
Station 97.5 was hosting a competition wherein callers would give a common word in english vernacular that wasn't in the dictionary, then use it in a sentence. About three minutes into the competition a man called: "Hi, me name's Dave." DJ: "Hey Dave, so what's your word?" Dave: "G-O-A-N, pronounced 'go-an'". DJ: "That's great! I don't believe that is in the dictionary! Now, can you use it in a sentence for us?" Dave: "GO-AN F*** YOURSELF!" There was a silence, then the sound of the call ending. After a few minutes, the DJ had regained his energy and continued the competition. Five minutes had passed when another call came in. DJ: "So what's your word?" Caller: "Smee" DJ: "You're right, I don't believe that's in the dictionary! Use it in a sentence?" Caller: "Smee again, go-an f*** yourself!"

Little Red Riding Hood.
A few days ago I posted a modern rendition of Goldie Locks, so I am now following it up with another classic re-make: Little Red Riding Hood:

Blue Team
Catlin Gabel Mock Trial Team Blue will be going to the States. After a strenuous and testing day at regionals in which both Team Blue and White did very well, Team Blue placed fourth, allowing them to move on to the next level along with Lincoln and St. Mary's. The competition will use the same court case, so they are already prepared, but you can be sure that won't stop Eli from and Leah from pushing full force the coming two weeks or so prior to the State Competition. Many people on the White Team expressed their joy and congrats to the Blue Team, but in secret, it was a rather unanimous agreement that though we were happy for them, we would not want to be in their place. For us, Mock Trial is over. We can breath again.

The Pickled Czar
What would you be willing to do? And let the evidence show that nothing could be done. And understand that this was known by the aides well in advance. Apparently they gave the command, but she paid them to say it, you can tell. There's just that look in here eye; especially the third one, right above her nose. And Marx supplied the explanation: that capitalism causes despair. Unfortunately, so does revolution. The poor Czar, he didn't even know until it was too late, he was stuck in a pickle, stuck in a jam; well he was stuck from the very beginning.

Slow
I apologize(?) for the drastic decline in posts recently. It's not that I've lost interest, I haven't; it is simply that I really have very little to write about. Class trip today. SYC Regatta coming up. Chaucer day coming up. Mock Trial dress rehersal for the final competition on Saturday. What's up with you? I want to know what you're up to and how life is treating you.

RJD2, Let There Be Horns
How did I not know about this? RJD2's new piece, Let There Be Horns, from his new album The Colossus, is reverting back to his classic style. After his most recent and rather disappointing album The Second Hand, RJD2 appears to have dropped the pop-attempt and return to what he knows best. The video is detracting of the music itself, so I recommend you hit play and let the music go as you read on down the blog. If you do decide to watch the video, try to catch his cameo performance. Listen to some other of his new pieces on his MySpace page, but if you really want to hear him at his best, listen to one of his original albums, preferably Deadringer. Anyway, enjoy:
Yesterday's Diet
I ate a pack of M&Ms, two Reeces, Cinnamon Pop Tarts, half of a chocolate muffin, some peanut butter, a Tasty-Cake, and a hot chocolate with one ton of whipped cream on top. Its cool though, I balanced it out with a bite of Hannah's apple.

View Counter
According to the infamously unreliable Flickr view counter, my photos now have over 2,000 views. The accuracy is debatable, but its impressive none-the-less.
