A Bowl for My Brother

I have been working for upwards of four months on one bowl in Woodshop. One bowl for four months. Its a beautiful piece of wood, unfortunately now it's two beautiful pieces of wood. On the last day of prep before finishing the bowl, the lathe rig she was on released and the bowl flew spinning through the air into the window and crashing to the concrete floor, absolutely destroying the rim that I had spent countless hours perfecting. Tom literally asked me is he "could have a crack at it." Poor choice of words. When he tried, the same thing happened, this tie resulting in a one-square-inch chunk being ripped from the upper lip. Four months, and this is how it ends.
